Being light to the people of the Mackay region
- Is held the 2nd Sunday of the month (except Mother’s Day) in St Ambrose Church and Hall at 3:30pm.
- Is an alternative way of being church for families (from babies to great great-grandparents) involving fun.
- Is a church, not a craft club, that helps people encounter Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
- Is found across the world.
- Values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration.
- Does not cost anything and you don’t have to provide anything.
- Use a simple format, relating to an overarching theme – welcome, worship (songs, short scripture reading, an interactive prayer time, crafts and a snack).
- Only started last year and our aim is to develop relationships and to encourage people to undertake an active role in the team which is everchanging, when they are ready.
- Is meant to be a comfortable and nonthreatening way to be a part of a church community.
- All are welcome.
